- December 1999: takeover of Noirfalise et Fils, specialising in collection, sorting and recycling waste metal since 1870 by STR
- August 1999: creation of STR France located in the north of France
- July 2005: creation of S.T.R. Mexico
- October 2006: takeover of PAPNAM (province of Namur) specialising in recycling cardboard and paper
- April 2007: takeover of BLANCHART SA (Jumet) – platform for ferrous and non-ferrous metals
- April 2008: takeover of xxx Maastricht
